Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and they've been manufacturing long and MID-LENGTH tube headers for Chevy trucks for nearly as long. Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Big Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors.

This set is part of Hedman's ELITE line of headers. This heavy-duty design uses stout 3/8 in. flanges, and thicker 14 gauge primary tubes. The heavier-duty construction makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, which produce higher exhaust temperatures.

ELITE models have a MATTE-SILVER ceramic finish that withstands temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The coating looks great and keeps more heat in the tubes, resulting in faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduced underhood temperatures.

These LONG-TUBE headers are one of Hedman's best selling Chevy truck headers, and fit a wide range of early to mid-year 2WD and 4WD Chevy Trucks and SUVs, powered by a BB Chevy engine (not for chassis with offset engine!). Included in this header's long list of applications is 1968-1991 Chevy/GMC 1/2 to 1 Ton 2WD, 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4WD trucks, Blazers and Suburbans (check the application listings for exact fitment). The smooth 1-3/4 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your truck's 396-502 BB Chevy engine breathe easy, and produce maximum horsepower and torque.

Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.

Hedman Hedders is so confident in the quality of its headers that these headers are factory backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The ceramic-metallic finish is covered by a 5-year factory warranty, in addition to Hedman's standard lifetime header warranty.
