REKUDO high quality direct replacement front & rear disk brake rotors for 1965-1982 C2/C3 Chevrolet Corvette. These rotors also fit the REKUDO JL8 brake system on the 1968-1981 Chevrolet Camaro/Pontiac Firebird. Specifications include premium features like a black E-coat on the fully machined finished hats that passes a 400 hour salt spray test without rusting. Friction surfaces get a double disc ground finish that virtually eliminates run out and disc thickness variation. The finish is also non-directional which allows for better pad and rotor break-in. REKUDO rotors are also mill balanced, an additional machining operation to reduce pedal feedback associated with rotor vibration. It produces a smoother, quieter, application of braking force. These rotors are a direct replacement for stock rotors, with factory dimensions and original style cooling vane design. REKUDO rotors are sold as a pair and are available for the front or rear of your 1965-1982 Chevy Corvette. The 4-wheel disc brake upgrade (Corvette style 4-piston calipers for both front and rear) was offered on the 1968 Camaro as a "Heavy Duty Service" package sold through the parts counter at Chevrolet car dealers. In 1969, the 4-piston disc brakes could be ordered as a Regular Production Option (RPO) JL8 package on production vehicles. These high-end brakes were made available to support racing programs like the Sports Car Club of America® (SCCA), and Trans-Am® road racing series. This unique brake option is very rare and was only sold on about 200 production vehicles.
